Background Checks are an important part of our safety protocols in Genesis. They are required for all local church and Conference staff, all candidates for ordination, and any volunteer who will be working with children.
Here's how the process works:
1. Please only request a backround check with permission from your local church or based on a request from Genesis. To do so, click on the link below to request to be sent an application.
2. Once the check is requested, someone in the Genesis office will send your information to MinistrySafe and within a couple of days you'll receive a questionairre from them, to be filled out according the instructions that are linked below. The organization who requested the background check will pay for the cost of the inquiry and report.
3. Once the Genesis office receives the report for your background check, the results will be sent via email to both the individual and the ministry representative at the local church.
